Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI)
The congregation of the Carmelites of Mary
Immaculate (CMI) was started by three illustrious priests of the
Apostolic Church of St. Thomas Christians in Kerala, India. These
Founders were Rev. Fathers Thomas Palackal, Thomas Porukara and
Kuriakose Elias Chavara. The CMI, now has 13 Provinces, a region
and a few sub-regions. This site contains information about the St.
John's Province whose headquarters is in Bijnor district of Uttar
